This includes all program related costs, including transport and meals organized by the school. However, outside of lunches on the boat, and occasional diving school diners like BBQ’s nights and night dive meals, you’ll either cook your own meal or enjoy the delicious and affordable Mediterranean food in the local taverns. Your travelling costs to and from Plakias are also left out.

Deep Diver Week

During this intensive training week, Our Master Scuba Diver Trainers will prepare you to comfortably explore the depth limits of recreational diving. Over the course 6 days, you and your team will build the skills and knowledge of expert buoyancy control, boat diving safety, air and time management in multi-level dive planning and organizing and leading safe deep dives.

Are you ready to go to the limit? files/029 Bootcamp/Deep-Week-3.jpg

Essential for Diveguides
As a Diveguide, you want to be familiar with the additional risks to organizing and leading deep dives from boat diving sites. Although your divers are more experienced and the sites are often easier to navigate, diving from a boat, further away from the shore on bigger depths brings new challenges. Things like correct weight distribution, computer configurations and air use and dive time management become more crucial on dives below the 18M line. You’ll learn how to keep good control over the safety of your divers while keeping it fun and enjoyable.

Underwater Navigation Week

During this intensive training week, Our Master Scuba Diver Trainers will train you in one of the most satisfying skills in diving: Expert navigation. Over the course of 6 days, you and your team build the skills and knowledge of expert buoyancy, underwater navigation, search and recovery and underwater mapping.

Ready for an underwater treasure hunt?

Essential for Diveguidesfiles/029 Bootcamp/SR.jpg
Underwater navigation skills are as important to a diveguide as buoyancy control for a diver. It should be second nature! You want to avoid having to worry about finding your way while you keep your group together, carry your buoy, look for underwater life and make pictures on the go. At the end of this week, you will be able to comfortably lead a tour on any site. Even on an unfamiliar area you know how to gather information needed to sketch out a map and use Compass and visual navigation techniques to guide a recommended route by night and day, with beginner or experienced divers, from boat or shore.

Essential for Research Divers
This is the ultimate Research Diver training week. With excellent buoyancy and navigational skills, you will be set out a sharp transect in no-time, and accurately map a complete Seagrass Meadow if necessary. The Search and Recovery training will prepare you for using rigging and lifting heavy toolboxes and big objects safely and keep your head cool with the added task loading and problem solving of the average research dive.

Combine with: Rescue Diver Week
One of the most exciting and challenging parts in the Rescue Diver course is the task of finding a missing diver. By participating to this week, you’ll become a more confident Rescue Diver or ensure you’ll get the most out of your Rescue Diver course.

Let’s get Fishy!files/029 Bootcamp/MB1.jpg

Essential for Diveguides
As a Diveguide you are expected to be an aquatic storyteller. Your knowledge about the underwater world and its inhabitants makes your briefings and debriefings the highlights before and after every dive. During the dive you know how to find, recognize, and name interesting local underwater life and inform guests about unique facts of their life cycle and any symbioses it might have within its ecosystem.

Essential for Biologists
There is only so much you can learn by reading about it. As Jaques Cousteau said: “The best way to study fish is to become one” With just enough theory to add context and a nice mix of data collection, observation, and conservation activities, topped off with a few nice after-dive lab sessions, this is the perfect introduction to the Marine Biology of the Mediterranean.

In this hands-on course you’ll learn to plan your story, when to shoot with or without external flashes and if you need to prepare for normal, macro or wide angle shot in order to tell your story best. In a good balance of planning, in-water action, and postproduction editing, you’ll learn to tell your underwater story from start to finish.
