We are looking for a skipper to captain our 10m power boat.

Dive2gether is a 5-star PADI IDC centre and a Marine Biology Field Station in the sunny village of Plakias, Crete, Greece. The company’s care for its employees, guests and the environment allowed a small family run diving school to grow into one of the biggest diving schools in Greece.

As a Skipper your office would be our boat The Philomena (as shown on the pictures). A motor cruiser with a 350HP inboard main engine, a 30HP inboard backup engine, an electric bow thruster, cabin with sitting area, toilet and dressing room. The open deck offers benches for the guests and crew. Diving equipment is stored in crates underneath each seat, tanks are in the tank racks behind the seat and luggage nets under the sunroof keep luggage high and dry.

You would take out 14 divers (guides and guests) on a daily diving program of 2 dives. The maximum distance from the harbour is a 30min. boat ride. During the surface interval you serve sandwiches, coffee/tea, boat to the second dive site for the day and get social with the guests!

Duration: May-October 2023 (with a possible extension)

Your tasks:

• Keeping The Philomena and its passengers safe
• Load and unload with colleagues
• Coach less experienced dive guides and instructors
• Being a happy host on board
• Keeping The Philomena tidy and clean
• Doing small repairs

Your profile:

• EU passport
• Fluent in English
• European Power Boat License (at least 2 years old)
• Boating experience at sea
• Active STCW-10 certificate (or willing to get it)
• Driving license B
• Communicative, friendly and positive attitude

Good extras:

• Sales work experience
• Knowledge of Greek, Dutch, German or French 
• Driving license BE
• PADI Instructor in Teaching Status
