First Aid

PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY

Fine-tune your trim and perfect your buoyancy control in this fun, 1 day specialty. Learn to control your breathing and hover like a pro underwater under the expert guidance of our instructors. Mastering this key skill allows you to get closer to marine life, use less air, and swim carefully over sensitive reefs without causing any damage.​​

DIGITAL UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHER

Spend a day with our master in-house photographer, completing two photography dives and then learning to edit your photos in the afternoon. Take your photos to the next level by understanding manual white balance, lighting and composition underwater.

NIGHT DIVER

Spotted an octopus hiding in his den during the day? See our incredible cephalopod friends out and about during our shore night dives, along with moray eels, tiny shrimps, and more amazing nocturnal life. 

Feel secure in small groups with experienced guides and instructors, and a team of vigilant coastguards supervising from land.

Non-diving friends can join for guided snorkeling and share in the experience.

SIDEMOUNT DIVER

Want to extend your dive time with double the air? Enjoy the perfect, stable trim that comes naturally with sidemount diving over this 2 day course. Learn how to set-up and tailor your gear, and then hover with perfect balance and streamlining over the course of 3 long dives with an experienced instructor.

DEEP DIVER

Visit untouched parts of the world and observe new species on our deep dive specialty. Alongside experienced instructors, increase your depth limit to 40m over the course of 4 dives, and improve your training in order to safely plan and lead deep dives. Enjoy a few days on our motor-cruiser exploring wall dives, dramatic drop-offs, and impressive caves.

BOAT DIVER

Boat dives often happen in deeper water, and involve more navigation challenges orienting yourself around a boat. Learn to organise, navigate, and lead boat dives, as well as about boat safety, in our two dive specialty offered aboard our very own Philomena. After just one day with our captain and instructors, you will be empowered to feel safer and in control the next time you dive from a boat.

DRYSUIT DIVER

Want to dive all year round in cold water, or experience the feeling of neutral  buoyancy across your entire body? Join us for a two day specialty that will banish the cold and boost your comfort both beneath and above the water. Practise under the sun in warmer, forgiving conditions in one of our top quality Mares drysuits, with seals specially adapted just for you.

UNDERWATER NAVIGATOR

Learning to navigate makes diving more relaxing by helping you feel safer and orient yourself underwater - as well as helping you to find the best dive spots! Across 3 dives with a dedicated instructor, learn to navigate both by using natural underwater landmarks, and with a compass to track multi-heading courses, and see how quickly your awareness increases both on land and underwater.

SEARCH & RECOVERY

A very rewarding course that is the first step for many towards commercial search and rescue; our 2 day specialty that teaches you how to navigate search patterns, use lifting bags, and plan your own recovery dives independently. Take joy in knowing you will never truly lose something underwater again!

AWARE FISH IDENTIFICATION

Taught by our marine biologists, learn about the common families and species of fish found right here in the Mediterranean, and how to identify even those you've never seen before. Increase your awareness of the life around you when diving, and feel empowered to preserve it by learning basic scientific surveying techniques. Become part of PADI's AWARE and REEF Volunteer Fish Survey Project by collecting and submitting your own data.

PADI UNDERWATER NATURALIST

In two open water dives, learn about the aquatic life of the Mediterranean, its ecosystem interactions, food webs, and how to interact responsibly with underwater life. Taught by our very own marine biologists, gain extra knowledge and insight that will help you become an active advocate for the  marine world and responsible diving practices.

PADI DIVE AGAINST DEBRIS

Make an active difference to your underwater environment by participating in a beach clean and clean-up dive. Learn more about the impact trash has on the oceans, where it comes from, and how to properly categorise and record it.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER - PRIMARY & SECONDARY CARE

Learn how to respond to life-threatening emergencies, and gain a PADI certification, in this 1 day course for divers and non-divers alike.

Alongside our experienced EFR instructors, build confidence in your ability to provide care when emergency situations arise, and learn how to take care of injuries and illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening.

Required for both Rescue and Divemaster certification.

PADI EMERGENCY OXYGEN PROVIDER

This half-day course will give you the confidence to act in a diving emergency. Practise first aid management of aquatic accidents with administered oxygen, and learn the fundamentals of recognising, responding, and managing these accidents. 

Specially designed for non-divers and divers alike.
